Relevant Experience

Rita is an associate in the Trusts and Estates department, concentrating her practice in Medicaid Planning and Estate Tax Planning and Administration. The estate aspect of her practice includes drafting of wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, durable power of attorney and health care proxy. She also handles probate and trust administration and various estate tax matters. In the area of Elder law and Medicaid planning, Rita assists clients by structuring their estate plan to protect assets from being depleted by nursing home costs to the extent the law allows.

Bio

Rita received her law degree with a concentration in finance transactions from the University at Buffalo Law School. Rita is licensed to practice law in the State of New York and in the province of Ontario, Canada. She holds a bachelor's degree in Psychology and Economics. Before coming to Rochester, Rita practiced in Buffalo, New York for a number of years as a corporate and estate law associate.

Community Involvement

In 2009, Rita served on the Executive Board for the Indian Association of Buffalo.
