Mary F. Ognibene Elected Chair Of The Monroe County Bar Association's Business Law Section Council

Mary Ognibene has been elected Chair of the Monroe County Bar Association’s Business Law Section Council. The Business Law Section is comprised of members whose practices include banking and commercial law, general corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, trade regulation, unfair competition and antitrust law, securities, blue sky law, intellectual property law, and corresponding fields of law. The Section provides educational programs to members and the general public, reviews legislation which might affect those areas of practice, and serves as a liaison to agencies concerned with or who have responsibility for regulating the practice. 

Mary advises clients on a range of general business matters.  Her experience includes preparation, review and negotiation of agreements spanning various industries including manufacturing, construction, pharmaceuticals and farming; planning for and formation of business entities; maintenance of corporate governance responsibilities; representing clients with respect to the purchase, sale and merger of businesses of ranging size, both domestic and international; and oversight of professional corporate license filings.

With 13 years of M&A and general corporate experience, Mary has enjoyed the opportunity to serve numerous clients in varied industries. She particularly appreciates working with small to mid-size businesses for the personal stories behind many and treats her work as an integral part of them.

A longtime supporter and creator of music, she is a singer involved with local and New York City-based projects.
