Jul 22, 2022

McConville Considine Cooman & Morin P.C. is pleased to announce that Douglas J. Lustig has joined its team as Counsel.

Doug, along with Senior Associate Mikal J. Krueger, joins MCCM partner Lou Morin in the firm’s bankruptcy and real estate practice groups. Doug’s depth of expertise includes representing both debtors and creditors on a wide range of personal and commercial bankruptcy matters, including Chapter 7, 11, 12, and 13. Coupled with his service as a member of the Chapter 7 Trustee Panel for the Western District of New York since 1980, Doug is well suited and versed to consult on any aspect in the bankruptcy arena.

Lou Morin, having known Doug for many years including serving with him on the Chapter 7 Trustee Panel, had this to say: “When I was brand new trustee, Doug’s guidance was invaluable and provided a framework for how to do it correctly. Doug’s broad base of knowledge in both in commercial and real estate law, his concern for his clients, and downright genuineness as a person is welcomed. Together, it will allow us to continue to expand service to our clients."

Prior to joining MCCM, Lustig was in private practice at several other firms, including more than 10 years as Partner at Chamberlain D'Amanda. Lustig is a frequent speaker on bankruptcy-related matters for professional organizations, including the Monroe County Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association and the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees. He is a recipient of Monroe County Bar Association’s Bankruptcy Committee Achievement Award, and has been continually named as an Upstate New York Super Lawyer.

Krueger is a frequent speaker on bankruptcy related matters for professional organizations as well as financial literacy classes. He wrote an article Mitigating Future Defaults which was published in the Rochester Business Alliance Chamber News. Mike is a native of Geneva, NY and resides in Irondequoit since 2005. He has spent his entire life across upstate New York, moving from Geneva to Buffalo to Syracuse and now Rochester.
